Tunechi makes a surprise announcement in the Town!

Saturday night, Bay Area’s 106 KMEL held their annual Summer Jam event with headliners Lil Wayne, Trey Songz, Kid Ink, Kehlani, G-Eazy and others. Tunechi, who’s been involved in a heavy legal battle with Birdman on a $51 million lawsuit for unpaid royalties and advances, announced during the event that he was signed to JAY Z.

While the exact details are yet to be revealed if it’s a managerial (most likely) or direct artist signing remains to be seen, the deal that was supposed to happen with Mannie Fresh a decade ago could actually be going down.

Coincidentally, it was revealed Weezy was a partner for Jigga’s TIDAL music service with the exclusive release of his new single Glory – which was listed under Ca$h Money Records. At the moment, the New Orleans rapper is still planning to bless fans with his Free Weezy Album in the coming weeks, but his main focus is still getting Tha Carter V to the ears of the public. We’ll keep you up to date on the story if any more new details emerge.

UPDATE: Cortez Bryant tells Billboard that he is signed to Hov in the sense that he is an artist owner of TIDAL, not that he signed to Roc Nation.
