Chicago rapper Lucki Eck$ has been receiving brilliant reviews in the early stages of 2013, which is surprising in terms of how little music he has released up to this point. Following a release party last night that reached maximum capacity, we’re provided with the highly anticipated debut mixtape Alternative Trap in its entirety. With many standout artists making themselves known in his home city, having a specific quality to separate from rest of the crowd will prove to be important in the long-run. There’s something gifted that puts Lucki in a path of his own, and he leaves us with a 13-track project to do the talking. All vocals are undertaken by himself, with production handled by the likes of Hippie Sabotage, Plu2o Nash, Nate Fox and Hippie Dream.
