Exactly two weeks tomorrow, Lupe Fiasco will release his fifth studio album DROGAS Light. Following the singles “Made in the USA,” “Pick Up the Phone,” “Wild Child” and “Jump,” the Chicago native is back with another track titled “Tranquillo,” which was premiered by Zane Lowe on Beats 1. This one features verses from Rick Ross and Big K.R.I.T., and Lupe speaks highly of it.
“My verse for “Tranquillo” which you will receive today is a personal prayer or manifesto to give you lucid direction in these troubled times,” Lupe says about the song. “The only reason for DROGAS Light is to give you that verse.”
