Macklemore once again was next to visit “The World’s Most Dangerous Morning Show”, The Breakfast Club. During his last visit Charlamagne Tha God told him his music would never see the light on urban radio, but Thrift Shop and Same Love went on to become international hit-singles.

He briefly discussed the track which he felt the issue should be addressed in hip-hop for the first time ever. Macklemore went on to discuss growing up thinking he was gay because of his admiration for art and keeping a neat room, as his uncles and other family members were gay.

Before his success with the two singles, he stated the first person to hit him up for a feature was Raekwon, as he also revealed collaborations with ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul and Kendrick Lamar. This Sunday will be the 2013 MTV Awards, which he’s been nominated for 6 awards. Things close out with Mack discussing wanting to leave a legacy of timeless music and how he went on to push out his deeper music than just the singles.
