When Kendrick Lamar came through NYC knocked over the buildings like Snoop and proclaimed himself as the King of the City, rappers from the boroughs responded to Dot with mainly being only darts thrown (see the hype for Kendrick’s next verse). Do or Die native, Maino dissected the state of NY rap in an interview with the Drama King, saying no one was to blame but the city themselves from fellow rappers and DJ’s to name a few. Maino kept it a buck in the interview, but wanted to further his expression through some music with a new track featuring Jadakiss entitled “What Happened.” Listen to the two OG’s speak on the current state of the 5 boroughs.
