Just a few days ago, Majid Jordan dropped their self-titled major debut studio album. In the days leading up to their big day Majid Al Maskati and Jordan Ullman sat down with Complex Magazine for a brief conversation on how the two met as students at the University of Toronto and becoming notable musicians within only five years. After hearing a demo in 2013, this prompted Noah “40” Shebib to immediately reach out to the pair and request a sit-down meeting, as the two explained.
During the first face-to-face conversation, they explained 40 showing admiration for their work, as Drake shocked them as a surprise visit in the meet. The founders of OVO Sound gave them creative freedom and said to just keep grinding in the studio for the time – which led to their new album that you should have in your playlist by now.
