With their major debut album still fresh in the ears of many, Majid Jordan made a stop by the LA Leakers to talk their early beginnings and landing a deal with OVO Sound. In the conversation above on Power 106, Majid Al Maskati and Jordan Ullman touched on releasing their Afterhours EP a few years ago on Soundcloud, which led to Drake’s right-hand guy Noah “40” Shebib reaching out.
After Majid received an email, he didn’t want to get Jordan’s hopes up too high on the two meeting elite company. However, after sitting down Oliver, 40 and The Boy to ink a deal, the pair soon gained enough confidence on song-writing and finding a limitless ability of crafting music.
