Former “Making the Band” star Chopper arrested
Former “Making the Band” star Chopper was arrested in Maryland but is being extradited to Las Vegas. With former DaBand member Fred airing out his issues with Puff Daddy last month, more sad news emerges from the camp.
This week, reports have emerged that Kevin Barnes, better known as Chopper from Making the Band, has been arrested on felony sex trafficking charges. According to documents released by TMZ, an undercover vice detective posing as a sex worker sent a message to the New Orleans native on Instagram, inquiring about an opportunity to make money.
The investigation was launched, due to Chopper showing off luxurious wealth and private plane rides on his social media pages. The undercover detective alleged that Chopper would brag about his wealth, and warned her that Las Vegas was not a safe place to conduct business anymore due to crackdowns.
However, it was then, when Chopper and the undercover agent would have one last phone interview, where the former rapper said the woman would be part of his stable. This would lead to the FEDs stepping in, believing there was enough evidence to arrest and charge him with felony sex trafficking.
It’s unclear if he’ll receive bail, as Chopper is being extradited to Las Vegas.
