Marc E. Bassy and G-Eazy are pretty much one song away from working on a collaborative project, but until that moment happens (if it ever happens), we can definitely say the two have good chemistry on wax. It helped that they went out on tour recently and now Eazy is paying back the favor on Marc’s “You & Me” single after his feature on “Some Kind Of Drug” off his When It’s Dark Out album.
The record is pretty much a reggae-sounding version Nas‘ line “a thug changes and love changes and best friends become strangers.” In the clip, Marc can be seen in a crowded crosswalk in the midst of stranger, comparing how he feels about a past lover. As he reminisces what they used to have, he knows things can never be the same.
