Artist: Mariah Carey
Song: “Infinity”
Producer: Eric Hudson
Album: #1 to Infinity
Director: Brett Ratner
As much as Mariah Carey can deny that “Infinity” is not about Nick Cannon, it’s hard not to pin point inspiration to their failed relationship for the record. She still argues the track was made specifically for her Las Vegas residency show and it’s about loving yourself above anything else. Regardless, the video for the track shows her getting ready for a big show and performing in front of her fans, while still trying to find a companion. When swiping right at some potentials through a fake Tinder (turns out it’s Match.com), she sees each guy pop up at her front door.
Tyson Beckford, some old white guy all show up to woo her, but ironically, Empire‘s Jussie Smollett is the one that captures her attention enough to go out for the night.
