Last year saw a good abundance of R&B and we’re sure it’s going to continue through 2019. Hopefully throughout the course of the upcoming months, we get to hear some new talent, much like Mark Diamond who makes his debut on OS with his single “Steady.” The record flirts with the pop and R&B lane, but Diamond’s vocals certainly carry the smooth record for the extent of it. If we had to compare him to anyone, it would be a cross of Marc E. Bassy with a splash of The Weeknd.
Plus, he’s from Seattle, a place which isn’t hailed too much as a musical mecca in the industry. Shoutout to the northwest one time.
