Mayer Hawthorne recently made a return with a bunch of new material, and this week is no different. The musician, who is a huge fan of pop music, has covered a song he claims to be one of the best written of the past decade. The track is no other than Rihanna and Mikky Ekko’s “Stay,” and Mayer has tried his best to better the original with a touch of funk. “We took it to that sexy Barry White funk zone,” he says.
