It feels like a long time coming for DJ Premier and MC Eiht to be collaborating, but it’s finally happening in 2017 thanks to the upcoming album Which Way Iz West. Locked and loaded with a signature boom bap beat by Primo, the CPT OG expresses himself on wax, using his infamous “GEAH!” ablib to drive the hook. “Compton Zoo” was actually one of the last songs that made the cut for the new effort after Premier heard it, putting his scratches on it and turning it into a single.
We’re not mad at it. Which Way Iz West drops on June 30.
