Meek Mill Explains His “Ooh Kill ‘Em” Kendrick Lamar Diss

For those wondering why Meek Mill fired at Kendrick Lamar in his latest diss “Ooh Kill ‘Em,” Meek sat down with MTV News to explain how it was all in the spirit of competition. Shortly after receiving the beat with the “Forgot About Dre” sample, Meek went into the booth and laid the track down, then released it for the public to hear. Addressing Kendrick’s “king of NY” line (even though he’s from Philly), Meek says he wanted to cleverly respond in a more respectful way and not go all Philly on him.

Interestingly, Meek also said he’s seen Kendrick since the “Control” verse was released and he warned him he was going to fire back soon. Peep his interview below.
