Meek Mill Facing Prison Time in 2016 after Judge Rules Parole Violation

The MMG rapper could unfortunately be heading back to prison

Last week, reports first surfaced that Meek Mill had violated his parole, after a travel with Nicki Minaj (and other rules he broke in recent months). Philadelphia Common Pleas Judge Genece Brinkley, ruled Meek guilty of probation violations this afternoon, which the rapper now faces a potential prison sentence early next year. Joined by family, a small circle of close friends and his girlfriend, the 28-year-old rapper’s ruling was pushed back to February 5, 2016, as he won’t be able to perform at any show for the next two months – unless for community service.

Throughout the hearing, Meek told the judge he’s dropped old friends from his entourage and has put focus on spending time with his immediate family and the 33-year-old music star. Onika Maraj testified that Mill hasn’t been perfect from his past conditions, but stated he’s been working on getting accustomed to becoming a responsible adult – something the judge surprisingly agreed with.

With his probation extended for another few years, on top of anger management, parenting and etiquette classes, the judge feels her tactics aren’t working. Last year, Brinkley sent Meek back to jail for five months for similar violations, which the camp of Robert Williams fears a similar or even more lengthy sentencing could happen in a few weeks. Milly now has to enjoy the holidays for the time being, with this story looming in the back of his head until next Friday.
