Less than 48 hours ago, Kendrick Lamar delivered arguably the biggest verse in rap (search “Kendrick Lamar Response”) of 2013 over Big Sean’s Control track that didn’t make his able due to sample clearness issues. One of the names that Kendrick named in lyrical massacre of the game was Philly emcee Meek Mill along with a few of their other peers. Meek along with fellow P.A. native Dion Waiters held a press event earlier today for the upcoming “The Dream Chasers Summit” set for August 30th in their city.

During the midst of the conference, Meek was asked did Kendrick’s lyrics offend him at any way; which you can view his response after the jump!

*UPDATE* Power 99 Interview added after the jump as well discussing K Dot’s verse.

“It definitely wasn’t insulting,” Meek said. “Kendrick Lamar, I don’t think he was trying to insult any of us, you know. We all know each other personally. There were a lot of names that weren’t mentioned … It was a competition thing. I live for competition. Everyone who knows me knows I don’t want to lose in a game of nothing. I don’t want to lose in a game of tic-tac-toe. I’m not going to make a diss record for Kendrick Lamar. But if he wants to get competitive, we’re going to have some fun.”

We’re glad Meek didn’t take the Kendrick lyrics the wrong way, which we doubt he’ll add to the list of 20 responses already from the rap field. Hopefully Joe Budden’s upcoming release and a possible 30-minute Game freestyle makes up for Meek’s lack of verses.
