The act of making music that not everyone understands the first time they hear it seems to quite be a recurring theme for MGMT, from the initial success of 2007’s debut full-length Oracular Spectacular to the more paranoid sophomore effort with Congratulations, which was put together in 2010 after touring extensively. Today the Connecticut band have made their brand new self-titled album available for stream, which includes 10 well-bodied tracks that reflect a new position in their career, providing fans with something to really sink into. Make sure you pre-order the deluxe version of the project on iTunes now, which will finally be available on September 17th.
