If you’re not up on Mick Jenkins or simply don’t know much about his background, look no further. During an interview, the rising emcee broke down his start-up and approach towards music. Mick was born in Alabama, but moved to Chicago at 10 years old due to his parents separating.
As an affiliate of some of the most talented artists from the city, he once made his mark in a rap competition to win some Beats By Dre headphones, which stemmed into becoming a full-time career goal through his writing. Jenkins also spoke on the relevance of the drill movement and diversity of music in Chicago.
