After giving Queens, Harlem and the Boogie Down recognition in previous episodes of his weekly “Best of Tuesdays” Throwback at Noon on his 97, DJ Mister Cee gives Kings County a feature episode with non-other than Mos Def and Talib Kweli collectively known as Black Star. In this 60-minute set, the finisher plays some cuts from the duos “Mos Def & Talib Kweli Are Black Star” as well as your favorite stand-out tracks from each of the two Brooklynites solo efforts over the years.
While we all enjoy this mix, we’re hoping the two still have plans to release the Black Star Aretha album that was supposed to drop late last year.
