Mason Betha, or who most of you know as Ma$e, is a legend in the game and only 35 years of age. It’s not secret this is Kanye West’s favorite rapper of all time, but M-A-Dolla-Sign E’s been one of the biggest influences to many rappers since the mid-90’s.
It’s very hard for a major artist to be part of three major movements in hip-hop, but leading the way with Big L and Killa Cam’Ron for Children of the Corn, being part of the Bad Boy family with the Biggie and the Lox, and even starting his own movement with Harlem World; Murda Ma$e was always sticking to Money Making Manhattan formula in that uptown place.
Recently released from his Bad Boy contract last December after being signed for 16 years, hopefully we can expect that third comeback while he still has the passion. Earlier today, the finisher DJ Mister Cee, played all of our favorite records from his two decade span, straight from the smooth talking-fly emcee himself. This one’s for Harlem World U.S.A.
