Around the time Nas was dropping Untitled, he released a mixtape with DJ Green Lantern titled The Nigger Tape. If you remember that project, then “Cops Keep Firing” will be familiar to you. For those who didn’t know about it, the Evil Genius has decided to master it and re-release the record without drops or shoutouts.
Apparently, Esco sent Green vocals which he put a beat to (the first verse was a throwaway from “Be A Nigga Too”) and Nas came in and added another verse to make the song complete.
