MTV news caught up with Nasir Tuesday evening at his “Hennessy V•S Presents” concert as he speaks on the modern day usage of the word classic in comparison to his earlier days in the music game. Nas felt the word classic is being thrown around today too loosely in today’s society without it having significance.
He went on to say some rappers are “classic artist” but that doesn’t mean every album they release has been a classic including himself. The interview closed out with Nas saying he would let time decide the fate of “Life Is Good” whether it’s classic or not.
