Serving as one of the less pop-sounding joints from Nate Ruess‘ Grand Romantic album, the video doesn’t even feature the former fun. frontman. Rather, Mad Men star Patrick Fischler sings his song karaoke in an empty establishment, putting more emotion into it than what the actual track carries. It’s like a ballad version of Lip Sync Battle with the dude only going up against himself. Perfect drunk tunes to sing in front of empty chairs in the midst of strobe lights.
Just let that guitar gently weep.
