Who’s hotter than Zoo Wap?
It’s always good to capitalize when you’re on top and some artists make the mistake of waiting too long to drop an album or EP after the fire has already burned out. With three singles in the Top 20, Fetty Wap is wasting absolutely no time and has announced that his new effort will be dropping on September 25, right in time for the GRAMMY deadline.
In a talk with the Associated Press, both him and Lyor Cohen open up about why Zoo Wap’s formula has worked, what they have done to keep the momentum going and how they’ve helped each other outside of the music. It’s deeper than rap for them.
“He helped me a lot when I was going through stuff, when my grandfather died. He was calling and calling, making sure I was all right, asking me if I need anything. It ain’t how like I be seeing it on TV where they arguing and stuff. We don’t even being going through that, for the most part we don’t even talk about music, he just be telling like ‘Watch myself,’ Lyor talk to me like a mentor.”
Speaking of which, Fetty told Big Boy at Real 92.3 that another collaboration with Drake is on the way soon. We can assume it will end up on his album.
