Curren$y, Corner Boy P, & T.Y. Jetlanta
Released: January 13th, 2017
Essential Listening: Paper Doe
After going 12/12 last year with projects, Curren$y promised that he would be taking a break until April. Curren$y didn’t keep that promise, and announced a new tape titled Jetlanta shortly after. The tape came out of a few sessions with his Jet Life counterparts Corner Boy P & T.Y. after he laid down a ton of possible album cuts. The producers on the short project were Don Cannon, Sledgren & Purpz of 808 Mafia. If you know anything about Spitta, he can get busy on all the above.
That’s just what he did for 6 songs too. The Jet Life coalition talked their usual shit that consist of fly cars, fly clothes, money and of course weed. You can tell that they were happy to be posted in Atlanta, as the EP gives off that southern feel that Don Cannon is used to producing. Don Cannon handled the bulk of the production, being behind 4 of the 6 songs on the EP. If you need something to roll around the city this month to, this is the perfect tape. We’ve been looping “Paper Doe” all month and we probably won’t stop.
