We caught Jay-Z’s Fade To Black movie last night on Palladia, and when he was doing the tribute sets, everyone had their 2’s in the air. Then he played 2pac’s “Hail Mary” and its always crazy to see how much love it got from the crowd in New York at that time.
Makaveli’s The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory has to be our favorite albums from ‘Pac, just because of the sheer aggressiveness that he delivered on it. That cover made a statement. This was a video we would watch regularly on The Box after school.
Who can forget walking up to Sam Goody as a young’n and copping this CD?
So, today, we look back at this classic track and remember 2pac, like we always do out here on the West Coast. Not a week goes by that we don’t play his music. R.I.P.
