Even though this single was released after 2pac’s tragic passing, it remains one of our favorite tracks in his catalog. Taken from the posthumous double disc album R U Still Down? (Remember Me), ‘Pac’s single has been sampled a few times throughout Hip-Hop, most notably on “Changes” and Nas’ “Black President.”
The video plays in 2pac’s first person perspective, as we see him maneuver through various settings over the course of the video. It contains many coincidental details about him, including something like the license plate of the car being 61671 (June 16, 1971), his birthday. If you also notice, the room number to the hotel is 7 and the clock at the end (in the diner scene) is set for 4:03 (the same time ‘Pac was pronounced dead).
