Cause It’s L, The Harlem Pimp Baby! Today marks the 14th anniversary in the passing of Lamont Coleman and to us we know as Big L. Destined for fame even readying a Roc-A-Fella deal just days before his death; Big L along with McGruff the Crime Dog, Ice Berg Slim and C-Town were in the process of forming a super-rap group named “The Wolfpack,” but obviously certain events would change this hip-hop storyline.
Today it was only right we paid homage to that neighborhood in the section of Manhattan, Harlem World with our Flashback for the day going to Big L’s “Holdin’ It Down” with Stan Spit, Andre the Giant and Miss Jonesy over some classic Pete Rock sounds.
