OS Flashback: Ice Cube – Pushin’ Weight (feat. Mr. Short Khop)

A Yeah Yeah! We remember in the mid to late 90s when everyone was twisting up them two middle fingers not giving a fuck? Yeah, we were some of those people as in the year 1998, Ice Cube returned back to street-oriented rap and released “Pushin’ Weight” from his highly underrated album War & Peace Vol. 1. This album had my personal favorite line in rap all time “I Don’t Invest In Hoes” from The Curse of Money featuring Mack One O.

We had to show this show love as the visuals directed by the legendary Gregory Dark took us back to a time where videos had professional cinematography with real plots in comparison to the majority of videos in today’s game. For some of us growing up, this was normal and regular to see motion picture shit for every rap video, but we deeply miss these days of hip-hop artist turning their art into something epic like this Cube video.

With 2pac a couple of days ago and Cube today, we might continue the theme of California Love the rest of the week.
