We might have brought you all the way the fuck back with our West Coast music from soundtracks playlist, but there’s plenty more where that came from.
For instance, this Mack 10 single from his Based On A True Story album (no 2 Chainz). You couldn’t turn on L.A. radio back in 1998 without hearing this song, especially following the success of Mack’s “Backyard Boogie.”
This feature for Snoop came at a transitional time for him, having just left Death Row for No Limit Records. At this point, we didn’t know what to expect from him, but this collaboration definitely put on for CA. Unfortunately, this might have been Mack 1-0’s last notable single before completely jumping off the cliff and signing with Cash Money.
There’s nothing like blasting that old Mack 10, though. Right Inglewood?
And my heat goes boom.
