As a continuation video from “The World Is Yours (Q-Tip Remix)“ where at the end one of Nas’s closest friends is raided which leads to a foot chase by police; in the beginning of “One Love” that same friend is apprehended for conspiracy. In this video, Nas goes through a series of letters to incarcerated friends giving them the latest news happening in Queensbridge as well as trying help the youth who seem destined for the same fate.
Although missing from our last month’s Nas Top 10 videos, we felt it was necessary to show this gem love. We just wish more videos in today’s hip-hop used better visual storytelling like this one did.
