As we sit here, 19 years after TLC released their lead-off single from the legendary CrazySexyCool album, a brand spanking new alternate version of “Creep” has been released on the Internet. This is one of three versions that were shot back in 1994, two of which were unreleased until now. The third, ultimately became the first single and official release from their hugely successful sophomore album.
If there was such a thing, this alternate version of “Creep” is more ’90s than the previous, even if the original video has been a staple in classic R&B for close to two decades. When it’s all said and done, no one was touching TLC on that R&B wave back in the day. We can still remember riding the school bus while this played on the radio.
Rest in peace Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes.
