We can’t believe it’s been 5 years since the passing of Young Sweet James Jones as we give have to pay homage today to the late Pimp C. In 1992, we were blessed with The Chronic, Bizarre Ride 2: The Pharcyde and Whut Thee Album to name a few as the group from P.A.T. released their debut studio album Too Hard to Swallow the same year as well to broaden the music genre and open eyes to south.
Prior to UGK coming out my first introduction to southern music was with the Geto Boys until I heard UGK and fell in love with their artwork instantly. Here we had to take it back to “Use Me Up” as the Pimp just like Bill Withers felt these chicks were only out here to use him up. You’re probably saying, “Oh where’s something good;” but we felt it was necessary today to only hear verses from the Pimp.
