This album is Jay-Z’s most underrated, just on the fact that it was a dubbed a combo solo/soundtrack album for the Denzel Washington film “American Gangster.” With his 2006 comeback album Kingdom Come receiving mixed reviews (mostly negative for a “Jay-Z” album) he proved he still had IT. Although “Blue Magic” and “Roc Boys” didn’t hit the charts like he wanted to, this album still had plenty of gems as Jay-Z went back to his Reasonable Doubt days with his tenth studio album.
One of the best lines: “Scarface the movie did more than Scarface the rapper to me, Still that ain’t to blame for all the shit that’s happened to me” – “Ignorant Shit (Remix)”
