Fab had been overdue for a tape since the first Summertime Shootout dropped, and when he dropped the second volume, he surpassed the first one in many ways.
He ditched all the auto-tune he had used on the previous version. He brought along a host of people that complimented him well, and he smashed some of the hottest songs thats out right now. There are multiple songs where Fab flexed his lyrical chops and wittiness but “Goyard Bag,” “Ashanti” and “For The Family” are a few of the standouts.
Elsewhere on the tape, he murders Future’s “Check On Me,” A Boogie’s “My Shit,” and even tries his hand at Rihanna’s “Sex With Me,” which he floats over. While the first Summertime Shootout was a solid mixtape, the second one is head and shoulders a better one. That’s saying a lot, as Fab is a veteran that drops project after project and none of his material shows any decline. Tapes like this actually prove that he’s getting better and better and that’s a treat for all fans listening.
