We’ve always seen P-Lo as a producer, as he’s crafted plenty of bangers that have gotten burn up and down California. Although we’ve heard him as a solo artist too, he’s crafted a more singy songy record with “Woke,” dedicated to everyone who slept on him. The track has plenty of appeal and could be a radio-friendly record for the summer. Also, if you listen close, that Cal-A beat has a classic sample from Brandy and Monica. Tell us that doesn’t sound like the beginning of “The Boy Is Mine,” though.
