Jahron Anthony Brathwaite, known professionally as PartyNextDoor, is a Canadian singer, songwriter, rapper and record producer. PartyNextDoor was the first artist signed to Drake’s OVO Sound record label in 2013 and later that year released his first EP self-titled PartyNextDoor. The persona of producer and singer Jahron Brathwaite, PartyNextDoor finds the Toronto-based artist experimenting with a fractured blend of minimal hip-hop and R&B that has drawn natural comparisons to fellow Canadians Drake and the Weeknd. No stranger to featured appearances himself, Brathwaite has lent his vocals, songwriting, and studio skills to a handful of Drake cuts, as well as ones by the likes of Big Sean, Lil Yachty, Rihanna (most notably “Work”), Major Lazer, and ZAYN. The first artist signed to Drake’s OVO Sound label, Brathwaite debuted in 2013 and soon notched two hit singles, “Come and See Me” and “Not Nice.” His albums have also risen high, including Top Five appearances for 2016’s PartyNextDoor 3 and 2020’s Partymobile.
