Pharrell Announces New Album For 2014

To say Pharrell has had a success year in the music industry would be an understatement. The super-producer has pushed out some of 2013’s biggest singles including “Blurred Lines,” “Get Lucky,” and the first ever 24-hour video being “Happy.” It’s been nearly 8 years since we got his first album being In My Mind back in 2006, but the but the N.E.R.D will be splashing the music scene with his long-awaited sophomore album soon to be titled. The project will now be under Columbia Records, as news surfaced today of his new partnership with the company. Columbia Records Chairman / CEO Rob Stringer released a statement today saying.

“When we excitedly partnered with Pharrell in January of this year, we felt it was his time again. Since then, ‘Blurred Lines’ and ‘Get Lucky’ have defined pop music in 2013, and now we are preparing to launch Pharrell as a global solo superstar in 2014.
