It’s no secret that Pharrell is currently having one of the most successful years in terms of commercial recognition. Building on the undeniable success of huge tracks such as “Blurred Lines” and “Get Lucky,” it’s been revealed that the multi-talented artist will be reuniting with Hans Zimmer to score the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man 2. In response to Billboard’s question on who else he’s been producting for, Pharrell said:
“Ed Sheeran. Usher. I’m going back in with T.I. Beyonce. Jennifer Hudson. Nelly has this really big record named “Rick James.” That’s my jam. Hans Zimmer and I are scoring “The Amazing Spiderman 2.” The “Happy” video, it just feels like people — good people that all remember that we are entitled to smile. I’m very excited about that.“
Based on Pharrell and Zimmer’s past collaborations on the likes of Despicable Me and Man Of Steel, this should certainly be something to anticipate. Expect the film to finally be released on May 2nd, 2014.
