Watch the ‘Blurred Lines’ deposition one
During 2013, Pharrell Williams and Robin Thicke enjoyed their biggest career success to date, highlighted by singles “Happy,” and “Blurred Lines.” Unfortunately, the two and Star Trak Entertainment were sued by the family of Marvin Gaye and Bridgeport Music for alleged copyright infringements on previously released material by the late singer.
The $7 million dollar lawsuit claimed that Thicke and Williams improperly used elements from Marvin Gaye’s 1977 hit “Got to Give It Up,” as the two were forced to pay copyright damages infringement. Luckily, Skateboard & Robin are looking for an appeal in the coming months, as The Hollywood Reporter has obtained 2014 depositions, as they don’t look interested in a case with Gaye family attorney, Richard Busch. Take a look at all three videos above, where Star Trak gets grilled by Busch – including a few sarcastic and hilarious responses during their taped testimonies.
