Pressa has been a voice of the Toronto streets for years, and now he’s plotting to take things global. Today, he’s back with a deluxe edition of his most recent project, Gardner Express. The deluxe adds several new heaters, including “Cool, Calm & Collected,” a laidback banger featuring melodic maestro Swae Lee, “Dead Body” featuring Brooklyn’s own Rowdy Rebel of GS9, and a remix to Pressa’s smash hit, “Attachments” featuring his main squeeze, Coi Leray. “Attachments” has quickly become his biggest global hit to date, generating over 44.3 million global streams across both versions and earning Platinum certification in his native Canada.
On a stand-out track, however, is “Chocolate Audemars,” where Pressa opens up on taking things international, moving to the US, and the challenges the move has presented. He’s at a unique crossroads, wanting to stay close to his hometown Driftwood neighborhood of Toronto, but realizing that LA presents him with opportunities to take his campaign worldwide. Peep the deluxe down below.
Garnering over 90 millions global streams, and bolstered by certified bangers such as “Blackberry Zap” ft. Jackboy, “Dracula” ft. Flipp Dinero and “Head Tap” ft. Sleepy Hallow & Sheff G (free that man), Gardner Express is a dossier of what makes Pressa special, effortlessly mixing his melodic, tenor vocals with street savvy bars. The title of the project is a play on words referring to Pressa’s last name (Gardner) and the Gardiner Expressway, a major highway running through Toronto.
