Punch Talks Building TDE, Coaching Kendrick Lamar and SZA

It’s been a long journey for TDE, but one that’s become hugely successful and made them one of the biggest and brightest in the business.

TDE president Punch appears on the new episode of Complex’s ‘Blueprint’ series, where sits down with Noah Callahan-Bever and breaks down the story of TDE from the very beginning. Terrence Henderson speaks on his earliest hip-hop memories of his father playing Slick Rick, Doug E. Fresh, Run-DMC, LL Cool J and Big Daddy Kane, along with the early days of his career, where he was plotting ideas while working at IKEA.

He then tells the story of linking up with Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith, how Jay Rock, Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul and ScHoolboy Q came into the picture, setbacks with Warner Bros., Dr. Dre enhancing K.Dot’s career, bringing SZA and Isaiah Rashad to the label and much more.
