Pusha T King Push
Essential listening in 2015: Darkest Before Dawn
Release Date: April 2016

Pusha T ended 2015 in a big way. Not only was he named president of G.O.O.D Music, but shortly after that he announced he would be dropping an album before the album and he had made good on his word. He unleashed the monster that was Darkest Before Dawn before the new year chimed in and if you’re a fan of Pusha, it didn’t disappoint. Littered with the coke raps that he’s used to spewing, this album can make a middle aged white guy believe that he’s knee deep in the coke game. That’s just how believeable Pusha is with his raps. He rhymes with conviction, emphasis and his cocaine metaphors are unmatched. The beautiful thing about DBD is as the title implies, it’s pretty much a pre-lude to his April album King Push. If DBD is any indication, we’re in for a treat come then. This was like a taste and King Push will likely be a four course meal, so get ready cause most likely it will be pretty fulfilling.
