Chance The Rapper TBD
Essential listening in 2015: “Angels”
Release Date: N/A
We give Chance The Rapper a lot of credit for the things he does (that warmest winter Chicago initiative is super dope), but we always leave out a small detail. He hasn’t released a proper follow up to 2013’s critically acclaimed Acid Rap. We heard Acid Rap way back in April of 2013, and we could never guess that here we are three years later and still clamoring for a follow up to the classic tape. He has given us tunes here and there, and Surf distracted us for a moment, even if it was a album helmed by his right hand man Donnie Trumpet.
There’s also that mixtape with Lil’ B that he released but nothing close to what we are really looking for. In the past couple of months he’s teased this supposed #ThirdMixtape as he calls it and has released two songs “Angels” featuring Saba and “Somewhere In Paradise” featuring R. Kelly and Jeremih. At this point we’re closer than ever to it’s release and we are pretty much sure we’ll hear the mixtape this year. Come on Chancelor! The fans deserve this!
