J. Cole TBD
Essential listening in 2015: Revenge of The Dreamers 2
Release Date: February 2016

J.Cole didn’t release any albums or mixtapes in 2015 but it’s because 2014 Forest Hill Drive carried him well into the new year. A couple of weeks before the end of 2014, Cole released his best selling album of his career. He also featured on Jeremih’s smash “Planez” and that all about solidified a solid year for the North Carolina MC.

Fast forward to this past Thanksgiving and him and counterpart Kendrick Lamar did the unthinkable. We’ve been hearing rumors about a possible album or mixtape from the two for forever but on Thanksgiving they furthered the speculation and gave us a taste as well. They tackled two of each other’s respective tracks and delivered some pretty noteworthy bars throughout. J. Cole tried his hand on Kendrick’s “Alright” while Kendrick played his cards on Cole’s “Tale Of 2 Citiez.” What made the release significant is seconds before Cole’s rap is over he says “But come February, bet shit gon scary when I fuck around and drop…” The only thing is, we don’t know what he’s dropping to be quite frank. It could be another album, it could be the joint project from him and K. Dot, we honestly have no idea.

Either way, something is coming and it’s coming soon. Until then, vibe out to Revenge of The Dreamers 2, which Cole spit a number of gems on.
