Rising London singer Ray BLK has been named the winner BBC Sound of 2017, a list that predicts the best new artists for the year ahead. Ray BLK is the first ever unsigned artist to be named in the number one spot, with the likes of Adele and Sam Smith winning in previous years before her. “I can’t believe this is happening,” the South London singer says about the honor. “It’s all just so ridiculous!”
Ray BLK impressed last year with the release of her Durt EP and collaboration with Stormzy, Wretch 32 and SG Lewis.
