About a week ago when The Life of Pablo came out, Rhymefest was caught up in Kanye West chatter when he responded to a fan about his friend. It was in criticism of Yeezy’s latest Twitter rants and the person thought ‘Fest should be his writer on there, like he’s helped on previous songs.
“My brother needs help, in the form of counseling. Spiritual & mental. He should step away from the public & yesmen & heal” – Rhymefest
During the GRAMMYs red carpet, Rhyme was asked about his tweets and he clarified that he never thought his words would go viral. He says people try to tear Kanye down all the time and he didn’t want to partake in that. He just wants his friend (before the fame) to be happy and at peace.
The two have since talked and he’s congratulated Yeezy on the album.
