Maybach Music Empire’s own, Rick Ross was back home in South Beach to visit 99 Jamz and speak on the recent cancellation of his Detroit show over the weekend. A local club promoter told fans of the cancelled show, alleging Ross was outside and fearful for his life to step out of the bus, which led to the Internet and many local people in the D giving their two cents on the infamous Motor City No-Fly Zone. Rozay allowed a day to breathe and see whether a certain individual would clear up the situation, but gave his experience on the story Monday afternoon.

Ricky spoke on sending his entourage to the event first, and revealed the venue was padlocked from the inside out due to a “peace protest.” After learning the news, Ross and his camp would go to a casino and wait until it concluded; but learned the event was cancelled, due to a gang being on scene. He went on to say he never spoke to anyone from the city of Detroit prior to him touching down and never made it to the show.

Continue after the jump for his side of the story, while we await response videos from those close to the action in the D.
