For years, people have been wondering about Rick Ross‘ past as a correctional officer past. Although he had a few lines on Mastermind on “Rich Is Gangsta,” when asked the question by Sway on RapFix Live yesterday, Rozay didn’t really give any details about it but said he would do it again to feed his family if it came down to it.
Without paraphrasing, we’ll just quote how he broke down the lyrics on the song and his past as Officer William Roberts III below:
“That particular line most definitely referred to me being a CO.”
“It’s a hustle, really.”
“It’s just a job.”
“I wouldn’t change nothing.”
“It’s authentic right here. It’s real.”
“Let’s go get this money.”
“We gon’ go get it.”
“I been winning, though.”
Oh, okay. That explains it. Thanks for clearing that up for us, bawse.
