Robin Thicke Scores First No. 1 Album On Billboard With “Blurred Lines”

rt

Since the release of Robin Thicke’s sophomore album “The Evolution of Robin Thicke” back in 2006 (highlighted by Lost Without U), it was no question in our heads that the singer-songwriter would become a household name. We’re just surprised it took this long for the masses to enjoy his music nearly 7-years later.

With the release of his mega-single Blurred Lines featuring T.I. and Pharrell Williams, Robin would finally get that one cross-over single to propel his career into newer heights. Thicke’s new album moved over 177,000 copies sold in its opening week marking his first ever number one on the Billboard charts.

Rock band, Five Finger Death Punch debuted at number 2 on the charts for their “The Wrong Side of Heaven and the Righteous Side of Hell: Volume 1” selling over 112,000. Rounding up things was Jay Z claiming the number 3 spot for his new album Magna Carta Holy Grail which moved 62,000 to keep his ‘New Rules’ campaign going.

Congrats to Robin Thicke are in order for his album currently available to STREAM here on the site; which you can also purchase on iTunes now.
